We wrapped up 2024 with an exciting milestone! On December 18–19, Mackenzie Baert and Grigoris Chatzikostas represented Reframe.food at the 2nd SoilScape Project Consortium Meeting in Göttingen, Germany. Hosted by the German Soil Science Society and the University of Göttingen (Georg-August-Universität Göttingen), this meeting brought together partners to advance our shared mission of cultivating soil literacy across Europe.

The two-day event offered valuable opportunities to:
🔹 Share progress and insights into human-soil relations across Europe.
🔹 Collaborate in interactive workshops, strengthening project synergies.
🔹 Set the course for future activities, aligning efforts toward impactful outcomes.

Reframe.food played a central role in the meeting as Mackenzie and Grigoris:

  • Led Workshops: Facilitating discussions that brought fresh ideas and perspectives to the forefront.
  • Presented Upcoming Initiatives: Showcased how the consortium’s input is shaping the open calls led by Reframe.food, launching in June 2025. These calls will invite citizens, artists, and professionals to engage in advancing soil literacy through artistic practices and education.

Cultivating Connection Through Soil

As we look ahead, Reframe.food remains committed to fostering a deeper connection to soil through collaboration, creativity, and education. Together with our partners, we’re paving the way for a future where soil awareness is central to environmental stewardship.

Stay tuned for updates as we prepare for the June 2025 open calls and continue driving innovation in soil science and education. 🌍
