As one of the core partners driving the implementation and visibility of the FUTURAL Horizon Europe project, reframe.food is introducing a major milestone: the selection of 10 new sub-projects through the FUTURAL Open Call.
Managed and promoted by reframe.food, the FUTURAL Open Call attracted a wide range of applications from consortia eager to bring forward-thinking ideas to life. The selected proposals stood out for their technical innovation, social impact, and collaborative potential, and will now receive tailored support to bring their Smart Solutions from concept to implementation.
The Journey Begins: From Concept to Impact
In June, the 10 winning teams officially launched their activities in a dedicated online Pitch Event. The event gathered representatives from the Agricultural University of Athens (FUTURAL’s coordinator), Work Package leaders, and the new consortia, offering a shared platform to present their ambitions and kick off a year-long journey of experimentation and deployment in rural regions.
Structured in three implementation phases—Design, Development, and Validation—the sub-projects will each contribute a new Smart Solution to the FUTURAL Metasearch Platform, while addressing urgent needs in agriculture, climate resilience, water management, education, tourism, and community health.
