reframe.food will take part in Synergy Days 2026, taking place on 20–21 October in Kilkenny, Ireland, joining the European agri-food innovation community for two days of exchange, collaboration and project visibility.
Synergy Days is one of the key meeting points for digital innovators in the European agri-food sector, bringing together EU-funded projects, companies, researchers, policymakers, innovation hubs and practitioners to discuss how digital solutions, data and collaboration can support the future of agriculture and food systems. The 2026 edition will also feature the Synergy Market, where projects and organisations will showcase their work, tools, services and innovations.
This year, reframe.food will be present through three EU-funded projects: BioValueAI, DEFENSEFOOD and REHUBS. The projects will participate in the Synergy Market exhibition and in the project pitch session, presenting their objectives, approaches and expected contributions to the wider agri-food innovation ecosystem. According to the published programme, BioValueAI, REHUBS and DEFENSEFOOD are included in Pitch Session 2, taking place on 20 October, 12:00–12:30.
Beyond the exhibition and pitch activities, BioValueAI will also contribute to the workshop programme, joining discussions around the role of AI, data, digital tools and innovation pathways in the transition towards more sustainable and circular bio-based value chains. BioValueAI is listed in workshops including:
- “Alternative Futures for European Agriculture: Implications for Innovation Pathways, Data Governance and Monitoring Capability”,
- “How to Facilitate AI-Based Solutions: Foundation Models, Reference Data and Validation of User Needs”, and
- “Farm Digital Twins and Scenario Simulation”.
A key highlight for reframe.food will also be the participation of Grigoris Chatzikostas, who will chair the plenary session “AI & the Valley of Death: EDIHs, TEFs and Regions as the Deployment Fast-Lane” on 21 October. The session will focus on how promising AI solutions in the agri-food sector can move beyond pilot projects and into real-world adoption, exploring the role of SMEs, farmers, investors, EDIHs, TEFs and regional actors in reducing risk, building trust and supporting deployment.
For reframe.food, Synergy Days 2026 is an opportunity to strengthen connections across the European innovation landscape, exchange knowledge with partners and peer projects, and highlight how EU-funded collaboration can help transform ideas into practical solutions for the agri-food and bio-based sectors.
Through its presence at the event, reframe.food will support the visibility of its projects, contribute to discussions on digital and AI-enabled innovation, and engage with stakeholders working on the future of sustainable, resilient and competitive food systems.
