On 21–22 October 2025, the REHUBS Horizon Europe project officially launched with a two-day Kick-off Meeting held in Thessaloniki, Greece.
The project brings together a diverse consortium of 27 partners from 12 European countries, united under a shared mission: to empower rural communities with the tools, knowledge, and technologies needed to strengthen climate resilience across Europe.
Built on the vision of “Rural Empowerment HUBS for climate resilience,” REHUBS aligns with the European Green Deal, the EU’s long-term rural development vision, and Europe’s dual digital and green transition. The initiative focuses on practical climate adaptation, addressing rural vulnerabilities linked to water scarcity, extreme weather events, soil degradation, biodiversity loss, and increased climate-related risks.
