From 28 to 30 April 2025, reframe.food participated in the General Assembly of the WATSON Project, hosted in Porto by INESC TEC. Despite an unexpected power outage, the meeting was both productive and insightful, demonstrating the consortium’s commitment to advancing innovation in the agrifood sector.

The three-day event combined strategic discussions with field visits to vineyards and cellars, offering firsthand insight into the regional agrifood context and the practical applications of traceability technologies.

reframe.food was represented by Eleni Chatzidimitriou and Dimitris Fotakidis, who shared progress on six pilot cases.

Their presentation focused on two main areas:

  • Alignment of workflows across pilot sites to support greater interoperability and streamlined operations.
  • Technical developments in AI-powered traceability systems aimed at addressing food fraud and enhancing transparency in agrifood value chains.

The assembly was coordinated by Dr. Dimitrios Argyropoulos and hosted by INESC TEC, with Pedro Carvalho contributing to the organisation of the event. Their roles ensured a focused and well-structured agenda, enabling meaningful dialogue and collaboration across the consortium.
